Console Day

On October 3rd, I hosted an event I’ve christened Console Day - an opportunity for audio enthusiasts in the region to come by and get firsthand experience on a variety of mixing consoles. Offerings included a Midas PRO1, Allen & Heath SQ5, SQ7, and Avantis, Behringer X32, and a Midas Venice complete with outboard FX rack.

We also threw up an outdoor demo system to audition the mixes, consisting of RCF HDL-6A and SUB 8004 courtesy of Entertainment Services NY.

The group was small but enthusiastic. I am in discussions with several console manufacturers to expand and support the event for next year - here’s hoping Console Day 2021 will be coming to a city near you!
